There's a bit of a technique learning curve with torsion spring grippers like CoC's. Torsion grippers are a bit unique and only the best option if you want to pursue closing torsion grippers and maybe certify, but for general hand strength there's better options, imo. Do you have access to a gym or barbells/weights at home?

Place the grippers in your hand, one handle on the palm and one across the fingers, then simply just close your hand and crush the gripper shut. If you are using an adjustable gripper first then be sure to set the resistance to pretty low just so you can get the hang of it. We have added a video for you to check out and compare your form to.

JAU1985. The handles are knurled like a barbell handle would be, the knurling is for the gripper handle to stay in your palm properly. If you're used to those cheap plastic handle grippers you might want to start with a COC Trainer and work with that. But if you don't want "hard skin", start taking care of your hands.
