Our Quarry Trails span across 50 routes, covering as much of the UK as possible and we have tried to ensure we have catered for varying levels of abilities.

An unusually mineral-rich sand was transported from Bude and the hills of Devon and Cornwall's border country by the Bude Canal in 1823. The hilly interior of Devon and Cornwall suffered from heavy soil erosion, especially in areas with low salt levels and poor fertility. It was a no-brainer to construct the canal.
